You’re thinking here we go to another “about me page” that’s biased, written in the 3rd person by the site owner to create credibility. That’s usually how most people do it, but I want to do things differently.
I don’t want to appear someone who’s only interested in myself and unapproachable. In reality, the about me page is not about me, the author, it’s about you, the reader. It’s about the both of us forming a connection so you can decide if I can help you achieve your goals.
Making your first sale online can be very exciting. It can be a real rush when you finally work how to do it. But making money online is hard without the right guidance. The problem is many marketers make bold promises about becoming an overnight success. In reality, it takes hard work and preparation to become an “Overnight success”. While some of what they teach works in the short term, it does not build a solid foundation.
There is a really simple factor most people overlook.
No sales happen outside of a conversation.
It’s not about pitching and over selling, it’s about becoming the person who people like, know and trust. Getting consistent sales are the results of providing excellent value. Therefore the Apple store doesn’t have KPIs. They don’t hustle customers into products they don’t need; they provide value by matching the right products for the customers’ needs. As a result, Apple is now worth $2 trillion, making it the most valuable company in the world. People don’t associate Apple as a computer company. They think of it as a trustworthy tribe of people who appreciate the vision that Steve Jobs had for the world.
Like I said earlier, this page is not about me, it’s about you. Many people online are trying so hard to get a sale they forget there is a human on the other side. That’s why I’m writing to you like we are having a conversation. I want to form a connection with you; I value your time and the reason you are here. I’m here to treat you like an actual human and help you on your journey of starting your own online business.
